What does green and brown make? Newtown Creek!

The first thing we learned was that Newtown Creek is in between Brooklyn and Queens. When we first got on the boat we went out to the East River and saw tall buildings and we were told that it was Manhattan. When we turned around and went the opposite direction from Manhattan we saw that the water was brown, but then as we kept going it turned green As we were moving. We smelled this horrible odor and it was the sweage polluting the water, the smell stunk like tar. I saw cars being smashed with huge bulldozers and next to it I saw plastic cups and other pastic garbage waste getting dumped right beside the smashed cars. After that I saw the polluted water on the side of the creek. As we kept going down the creek we noticed that there were CSO's (combined sewage outfalls) posted on a far distance and by one of the CSO's was a sewage pipe with toxic waist being dumped into the creek.
